Why did you choose Vincennes as the site of the reunion?
The organizers narrowed down the selections to 4 sites. There was a month-long voting process where Vincennes, Indiana was the unanimous selection.

Why did you choose August 4th-7th?
Summer time seems to be the best time for traveling. Many of our crew have children and this time is optimal for not interfering with school schedules. In addition, the hotel we chose offered the best room rates for this time in August.

I noticed there are transaction fees. What is that about?
Since we do not have an established organization and are lacking a pool of funds (derived from dues, memorabilia sales, etc.), we do not have the ability to pay the deposit required to guarantee the room rates and to reserve the services (banquet, breakfast). Had we had an established fund, we could have used it to defray some of the indirect costs. More on fees.

Why is there a registration fee?
We are being provided with a hospitality room. This is a place where we will gather to catch up, share our experiences; show our memorabilia (cruise books, videos, etc.) and to just hang out in between events. We will be providing refreshments (cocktails, beer & wine, soft drinks and snacks) to all of our attendees. This is NOT a service we pay the hotel for. We will be purchasing and stocking this room ourselves. This fee provides us the ability to pool our resources together. The leftover funds will be held for the next reunion or to purchase Vincennes items for future sale (such as hats, shirts, etc.).

What happens at the banquet?
This will be a time when we all gather together for a meal; in this case it will be a luau held by the poolside.

What if I need to cancel? Will my money be refunded?
Since we are guaranteeing a certain number of reunion attendees, we had to pay a fee that will be non-refundable should we cancel. Your pre-registration fee is applied to this. That fee, along with the credit card transaction fee is non-refundable. Please visit the cancellation information page for more details. If we had our own association, this would have been covered out of the pool of funds
